About Us

Founded in 1993 by Christians in the community from a variety of church backgrounds, the church has now grown to over seventy members. Catterline Community Church is family orientated, providing all age Sunday School classes, and creche facilities.

We are led by Pastors Byron and Elaine McKibben, supported by a leadership group who meet regularly for prayer and to discuss and plan the church's activities.

A warm welcome awaits all visitors, and those looking for a place to worship God.

Elaine and Byron McKibben.

Elaine has Pastoral responsibility for the everyday care of the church. She has a Theological degree and is a trained teacher.  In addition, she has training in Personal Centred counselling with Aberdeen University and has recently undergone a two year course in Spiritual Accompaniment.  In February 2013 she completed a two week school in Living Wisdom by David Riddell and is continuing to study Living Wisdom priciples. (www.livingwisdom.co.nz) She is happy to come alongside other Christians and encourage them in their relationship with God and provide counselling for those who are facing difficulty.

Byron is an ordained Pastor who works in the church in a lay capacity.  He is part of the teaching team and the worship group in CCC.

Mission and Giving

In CCC we are inspired by the generosity of God to support a number of charitable organisations on a regular basis, including the work of Care for the Family, The Salvation Army and Scripture Union.

We are committed to sharing the gospel with people everywhere and one of the ways we do that is by supporting others who are serving God in a full-time capacity both at home and abroad.

Our mission partners include:

Alan and Sandra who serve God in Malawi with the Apostolic Church

In recent years we have been thrilled to send one of our own church family to work with the Christian Missionary Society (CMS )in the Lebanon.  You can read  the blog ‘Thistles in the Cedars’ on our website.

We are a registered charity which qualifies us for the benefit of giving through the Gift Aid scheme.
